SoulTime! Is a new and exciting jazz quartet co-led by renowned pianist Leon Greening and exceptional trumpeter Steve Fishwick.
Dedicated to delving into the repertoire of one of their musical idols, the pianist and composer Bobby Timmons, SoulTime! pays homage to a figure whose influence during the late 1950s and early 60s on Hard-Bop and Soul-Jazz often goes unacknowledged in jazz history.
Bobby Timmons’ compositions, such as ‘This Here’, ‘Dat Dere’, and ‘Moanin’, were pivotal for iconic groups like Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers and The Cannonball Adderley Quintet.
SoulTime! is committed to revitalizing these classics with the original spirit, infusing them with abundant melody, soulfulness, and the infectious grooves that defined the era.
